Arise: Virtual Gala

The event is free and donations to the Museum’s resiliency fund are encouraged.

Join us virtually for our 2020 Gala emceed by Casey Jost, performance by Hegazy, appearance by the Impractical Jokers and special comments and performance by Emmy-nominated Ingrid Michaelson.

We are proud to recognize this year’s Leng and Davis Award recipients:

Dolores Morris for her ongoing support as a longtime trustee and sixth generation Islander. Morris is also a past Emmy winner, author, and has been dedicated to enriching the lives of people in our community.

Bill Higgins for his long time support of the mission of the Museum and his 40 years of artistic service devoted to the Staten Island community.

Marguerite Maria Rivas for her appointment by Borough President Oddo as the first Poet Laureate of Staten Island and her lasting dedication to the mission of the Museum.

Please consider a donation to our Resiliency Fund by clicking the button below. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will help offset the financial burdens placed upon the Museum in these unprecedented times.

Culture is still alive and we can’t wait to see you again at the Staten Island Museum. In the meantime, our virtual doors are open providing museum experiences through public and educational programs.

Your generous tax deductible gift will make a lasting impact and help support:

  • A robust calendar of public programs, panel discussions, history lectures, and Summer Nights (adult workshops)
  • Educational programs for over 11,000 under-served school age children through Title 1 programs being converted to virtual learning for the upcoming school year.
  • Educational programs for all ages including Super Science workshops and Family Art Workshops being presented virtually.
  • Event programming: Earth Day How to Fest, Fence Show, Korean Lunar New Year, Edible Island Market, and Moth Night.
  •  Preservation and conservation of our vast collections in art, natural science, and history
