The main entrance to the Staten Island Museum is located on the north side of the building facing Richmond Terrace (the water). There are approximately ten steps from the ground to the entrance. There is a step-free accessible entrance on the west side of the building. The closest available parking is located in P3 and P4.

An accessible step-free entrance is located on the west side of the Museum adjacent to the Randall statue. Ring the bell for assistance. A staff member will greet you.

Service animals with appropriate certification are welcome. Therapy animals, emotional support animals and pets are not permitted.

Limited self-service coat and bag check is available. Please leave large bags, backpacks, and luggage at home. The Museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Wheelchairs are available for use free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited inventory.

A bicycle rack is located behind the Museum.

Photography for non-commercial, personal use is permitted in the galleries unless otherwise stated. Flash, tripods, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Please look for signage and follow staff instructions.

Prohibited Items

No Food or Drink

Food, beverages, produce, and live plants are not permitted in the Museum. Please do not bring them inside the building. Garbage and recycling receptacles are located outside of the building and throughout the campus.

No Firearms

Weapons of any type are not permitted.

No Smoking

Smoking, vaping, or the use of any e-cigarette product is not permitted inside the building or on the grounds. Snug Harbor is a smoke free campus.
