The Staten Island Museum presents a major solo exhibition of transdisciplinary artist and educator Stephanie Dinkins featuring interactive experiences reframing the contract between community, technology, and the living world. Through an immersive experience with AI-generated processing of collected stories, Dinkins creates a living narrative that evolves in real time. Anchoring Home is a participatory, sensory exhibition in which the artist invites us to question who gets to shape the future of AI and how we might co-create systems rooted in equity, care, and collective agency.

Stephanie Dinkins grew up in Tottenville, Staten Island. With this exhibition, she returns home to present her signature work. Dinkins is a Lincoln Center Collider Fellow (2025), a Schmidt AI 2050 Senior Fellow, the inaugural recipient of the LG-Guggenheim Award (2023) for artists working at the intersection of art and technology, and was named to Time Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in AI in 2023.
