Staten Island: Making History
Now On View!
INTRODUCTION
Staten Island Making History showcases people, places, and ideas that define and expand understanding of this borough. From Lenapehoking, through the formation of a nation and capital of the world, to the present day — this new exhibition presents rich history through more than one hundred rarely seen objects, photographs, oral histories, artwork, and archival materials in the museum’s collection. The exhibition also features a spotlight on the history of Park Hill and the game changers from this neighborhood.
From generational families to immigrant New Yorkers, Staten Islanders stand at the center of American history time and time again. Staten Island Making History highlights contributions of national significance to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.
