Updated Visitor Information: All visitors ages 5 and older must show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine for admission to the museum, in accordance with NYC requirements. Visitors aged 18 and older will also be asked to show photo ID. Visitors 12 and older require proof of two vaccine doses. Face coverings are required for all over the age of 2, even if vaccinated. During a time when women in science were rare, Elizabeth Knight Britton was an expert in bryology, the study of mosses. Learn about Elizabeth’s influence on science in Staten Island and New York City and what makes a moss, a moss!

 

Lunch and Learn is a new lecture and presentation series beginning with a focus on objects in the museum’s collection. Join us when you’re hungry for knowledge, but only have time for a snack.
