Honorees
Headshot of Dr. Kerry Kelly and Dr. Ginny Mantello

Dr. Kerry Kelly served as a Medical Officer with the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) for 37 years, until her retirement in 2018. She held the position of Chief Medical Officer for the last 24 of those years, including during 9/11, for which NYC recently marked the 20th anniversary, and she continues to help surviving first responders. Additionally, Dr. Kelly maintains a family medicine practice on Staten Island with Northwell Health.

Dr. Ginny Mantello currently serves as the Director of Health and Wellness, Office of the Staten Island Borough President and has been instrumental providing COVID-19 health information to the community during the pandemic. Dr. Mantello is also the co-chair of the Staten Island Community Organizations Active in Disaster (SI COAD), a program of the Staten Island Not for Profit Association (SINFPA), to coordinate preparedness and planning efforts across Staten Island.
