Temporary Closure Notice
Dear Staten Island Museum Community,
The Staten Island Museum will be temporarily closing to the public starting tomorrow, Saturday, March 14 until further notice, in light of the evolving situation with COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). We have also canceled all programs in this period of time. The safety and well-being of our community, visitors, staff and volunteers are of highest priority.
The Staten Island Museum is a resource for the community that we want to be accessible, however we believe it is in the best interest of our staff and visitors at this time to contribute to the efforts to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. While there are no confirmed cases connected to the Museum, this decision has been made to support regional and national efforts limiting the spread of COVID-19.
We will be monitoring the status daily to make determinations about reopening. Please visit the Museum’s website and social media channels for updates.
Please refer to the NYC Department of Health website for more information and best practices regarding coronavirus prevention.
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Staten Island Museum soon.
