The Lake, Huguenot Park formerly Richmond Beach.  Staten Island, N.Y.

WTD 2995 (B)

A postcard with a photograph, taken by William J. Grimshaw, of Arbutus Lake in Huguenot Park, Staten Island.  A tree in the right foreground is partially obscuring the view.  A large house near the shore of the lake is in center background of the photograph.

The reverse side has a handwritten note from William T. Davis of Staten Island to William Higgins of Lakehurst, New Jersey that says:

"Sunday, Dear Will, I am sending this to Lakehurst expecting it to be there when you arrive, so that you may know promptly that we are just as usual. Yesterday we went across to Bay Ridge, and walked along the shore road for an hour. We enjoyed the trip very much. With love from us both. B.D.
