Lockman House Richmond Rd. S.I.

WTD 3022

A postcard with a photograph, taken by Percy Loomis Sperr, of the Lakeman-Cortelyou-Taylor House (titled "Lockman House" in this postcard) which is located at 2286 Richmond Road in New Dorp, Staten Island.  The original section of the house was built by Abraham Lakeman in 1680.  Many additions have been made to the house over the years.  The house was bought by the Kirchoffer family, founders of Moravian Florist, in 1928.  They have used the house for their business since then.  The building was restored in the 2000's.
