Bayonne-Staten Island Bridge

WTD 1989 (B)

A postcard published by the Art Photo Greeting Company of Elizabeth, NJ that contains an image of the Bayonne Bridge.  The bridge crosses the Kill van Kull, and it connects Staten Island to Bayonne, NJ.  The Bayonne Bridge was opened to traffic in 1931.  The postcard is postmarked "Bayonne, NJ August 2, 1934."  It is addressed to "Mr. & Mrs. Bennie Ford, 1419 Chrisler Ave, Schenectady, N.Y."  The text of the note says:

"Aug. 1st 1934
Dear Helen & Bennie
There isn't much to write about. Only that we had very hot weather last week, this week is quite some cooler.
Love from,
Aunt France."
