Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church Yard

A photograph taken by William T. Davis (1862 - 1945) of two headstones in the Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church (now the Son-Rise Interfaith Center) cemetery located on Richmond Road in New Springville, Staten Island.  The headstones are made of marble, and are in the memory of James Allen Crocheron (Label #221) and Catherine Crocheron (Label #222).  James and Catherine were the children of Henry and Leah Crocheron.

James Allen Crocheron's headstone reads:

"James Allen son of Henry and Leah Crocheron
Died Oct 7th 1830
aged 11 years 1 month 27 days

Near this stone six childrens ashes lie [rest of marker unreadable]."

Most of Catherine Crocheron's headstone is unreadable, except for:

"January 31st 1815
aged 2 years 1 month and 9 days"
