L’Abside de Notre Dame de Paris


A black ink etching (vi state) by French printmaker Charles Meryon (1821 - 1868) of the view of Notre Dame de Paris, or Notre Dame Cathedral, from the Southeast looking Northwest.  Boats are grounded on the left bank of the Seine River where there are horse drawn carriages and people on the land.  The bridge in the middleground of the etching is the Pont de l'Archevêché, also known as the Love Bridge.
