John Noble

Bill Murphy (1952 - ) was born and raised on Staten Island.  In 1977, he met John Noble, the draftsman and printmaker. The two became close friends. The young arist admired Noble's disciplined renderings of Staten Island's coastal landscape. Murphy is known for his etchings and lithographs, as well as his paintings and drawings.
