Hotel on Hudson River

A1970.9.2

A landscape drawing of hotel on top of a hill overlooking the Hudson River.  The hotel is in the middle-left middleground.  Two buildings are seen below the hotel, next to river, amongst the trees.  Another building is sitting next to the river on the opposite side of the buildings below the hotel.  The river runs from the left foreground to the right middleground.  Tree covered hills overlook the river and mountains are in the background.

Kraemer was born in Zweibrucken, Germany, but in his early years, he travelled to Munich, and studied art there. When he was about 40, Kraemer traveled to America. He worked in New York City, doing many etchings of the New York seascape.
