A oil on canvas board earthtone painting by American artist Albert Barbelle (1887 - 1957) depicting a landscape scene on Staten Island.  A mailbox is in the foreground with trees and two houses in background.  There is a path moving diagnolly past the mailbox.

Albert W. Barbelle was born in Fall River, Massachusetts.  Barbelle studied in London, Paris, and New York.  His main occupation was as a sheet music cover artist for Disney.  He also did freelance work and sold his artwork.  Barbelle taught life classes at the Staten Island Museum and was the President of the Staten Island Museum Section of Art.
