The Art (and Love) of Cocktails

Thursday, February 8, 7:30pm-9:30pm
Location: Staten Island Museum, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Building A
$25/$20 Museum Members

Love is in the air as we mine the archives to share the historic and heartfelt ways Islanders have shown their affections.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day early at the Staten Island Museum! Guests 21 and over are invited to craft their own cocktails with the expert guidance of Staten Island’s Best Bartender, Danny Ippolito, owner of Bin 5 in Rosebank.

Explore Ippolito’s carefully curated menu of inspired cocktails while Museum Archivist Gabriella Leone presents romantic stories from the collection showcasing some of the historic and heartfelt ways Islanders have shown their affections throughout the years.

Each of the three featured drinks will be fashioned out of fresh ingredients (all provided) and skillfully crafted by Ippolito while guests observe and then make their own. The evening’s menu consists of a champagne based cocktail, The Hanky Panky (originally credited to Ada Coleman, head bartender at the American Bar in The Savoy, 1925), and one surprise concoction invented by Danny Ippolito especially for the Valentine’s Day workshop.

Registration required. Please register by Tuesday, February 6.
