Say goodbye to the Year of the Pig and hello to the Year of the Rat! The Museum will celebrate Lunar New Year with the Korean Community Development Center. Enjoy art activities, performances, traditional Korean clothing (hanbok), games, customary Lunar New Year refreshments, and so much more!

In collaboration with the Korean Community Development Center 

(Museum admission is a suggested $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, $2 for children 2-12, Free for Museum Members and children under 2)

Event Schedule:

2:30pm - Tae Kwon Do demonstration by Master Ray Park and the New York Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts School
3:30pm - Drum performance 난타 (Nan-ta) by the Pilgrim Mission Dance Company

2pm - 3pm & 3pm - 4pm - Hanji Art
Hanji refers to handmade Korean paper. In addition to writing, it can be used to create a range of objects like traditional shoes and keychains which guests will learn how to make. Space is limited for this workshop. Please register at the front desk in the Museum's lobby. There is also an $8 materials fee.

• Try on a Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing)
• Practice your Sae-bae (traditional bow)

Enjoy Mandu (dumplings), Tteok-guk (rice cake soup), Jap-chae (sticky noodles with vegetables), Aloevine Drinks and more!
